WRANGLERS TRIVIA

--
The Wranglers were involved in two different franchise transactions of an unusual nature during their short history.
--
Following the team's inaugural 1983 season, the Wranglers and Chicago Blitz essentially swapped franchises, with Blitz owner (and Phoenix cardiovascular surgeon) Dr. Ted Diethrich moving his Blitz to the valley of the sun while the 1983 Wranglers became the 1984 Chicago Blitz.
--
After the 1984 season, Diethrich would sell the Wranglers to Bill Tatham, the owner of the Oklahoma Outlaws, who merged the Wranglers into his club.
--
The result for 1985 was the Arizona Outlaws, an amalgamation of the '84 Outlaws and '84 Wranglers.
--
The Wranglers were aligned for 1983-84 in the USFL's Pacific Division along with the Denver Gold, Los Angeles Express and Oakland Invaders.
