Rollie Dotsch, the only head coach the Stallions ever had, died of pancreatic cancer in March 1988.
Marvin Warner, the founder and majority owner of the Stallions for all but the final days of the USFL, died on April 8, 2002 at the age of 82.  In the 1990's he was convicted of fraud and spent 2 1/2 years in the Madison Correctional Center in Lebanon, Ohio.
The gold color used on the Birmingham Stallions helmets was only slightly different from that used today on the helmets of the San Francisco 49'ers and St. Louis Rams.
