STALLIONS TRIVIA

--
The Birmingham Stallions were among the eight teams who were supposed to continue the USFL as it took on the NFL head to head in the fall of 1986.
--
Reality was though that the Stallions were essentially a franchise in name only by the time USFL v. NFL began.
--
Owner Marvin Warner had abandoned the franchise, and if not for a nothing less than heroic effort on the part of team President Jerry Sklar, the Stallions wouldn't have completed the 1985 season let alone played in 1986.
