While today it would likely prove to be a controversial choice or considered insensitive to native Americans, not much of a fuss was made about Donald Dizney's choice of "Renegades" as the Orlando team's nickname. 
The Renegades helmet (depicted above) featured a tomahawk that had more than a little resemblance to the Washington Redskins old spear helmet.
The end of the Federals also spelled the end to green, black and white, as the Renegades instead opted for a blue and white color combination for uniforms.
