PANTHERS TRIVIA

--
The Panthers participated in the longest game in the history of professional football to date.
--
In their 1984 Divisional Playoff against the Los Angeles Express, the teams tied at the end of regulation, forcing "sudden death" overtime.
--
Only the death wasn't all that sudden.  The teams proceeded to complete 15 minutes of overtime... then 30, with neither team scoring.
--
Finally Mel Gray of the Express put the Panthers out of their misery with a 24 yard touchdown run to end it.
--
It would prove to be the final game the Michigan Panthers ever played.
