GENERALS TRIVIA

--
Though not depicted at right, the New Jersey Generals primary logo was the only one to have brown among its colors (in the leaf accents).
--
Though the team wore either red or white on the field, most of the team's ancillary apparel (particularly sideline jackets) were blue.
--
While the NFL's Jets and Giants kept their offices in New York City but played in New Jersey, the Generals operated entirely within the confines of New Jersey.
--
The Generals had the greatest improvement among 1983 USFL teams in 1984, going from 6-12-0 in their maiden season to 14-4-0 in 1984.
--
Despite their best efforts on the field and the best wishes of owner Donald Trump, the New Jersey Generals never won a USFL playoff game.
--
When he learned that the Generals would face the Baltimore Stars in the first round of the 1985 USFL playoffs, Trump reportedly claimed he knew his team would lose.  They did, 20-17.
