GAMBLERS TRIVIA

--
As a team the Gamblers attempted over 650 passes in 1984.
--
Jim Kelly set a professional football record that still stands with 5,219 passing yards.  His 44 touchdowns were also a record until the 1984 NFL season, when Dan Marino threw for 48 touchdowns with the Miami Dolphins.
--
Richard Johnson's 115 receptions were also a pro football record that would stand for over a decade.
--
The tandem of Johnson and Rickey Sanders are the only receiving pair to each snag over 100 receptions in a season plus score 25 or more receiving touchdowns in a single season.
--
Sanders also helped the Gamblers on special teams as part of the punt return squad, averaging 7.8 yards per return.
