The 1985 USFL Territorial Draft allowed teams to claim the rights to 25 collegiate players from local colleges and universities.
For 1985, the Breakers territorial schools were Grambling, Louisiana State, Southern, Tulane, Southern Mississippi and Washington.
The team was also assigned three teams from the CFL and NFL:  the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and Edmonton Eskimos.
