Boston Breakers co-owner Randy Vataha was no stranger to pro football, having played 7 years in the NFL.
Vataha's career began with six years with the NFL's New England Patriots, followed by one final season with the Green Bay Packers.
Vataha recorded 188 receptions for 3,164 yards and 23 touchdowns in his NFL days.
After selling the Breakers to Louisiana developer Joseph Canizaro, Vataha would go on to launch GamePlan LLC, an investment firm focused on sports enterprises.
Among Vataha's deals with GamePlan was the purchase of the Boston Celtics by Wyc Grousebeck for a reported $340 million.
