ROSTERS

ROSTER LIMITS
Roster limits are established as follows:
(a)  Forty (40) member active roster
(b)  Ten (10) man development squad
(c) Injured Reserve Category

CUT-DOWN DATES
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1983 - 70 - 4:00 pm (EST)
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 1983 - 58 - 4:00 pm (EST)
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 1983 - 45 - 4:00 pm (EST)

Final cut to 45 - all waivers will be procedural recall - club may recall player if he is not claimed. Following the cut to 45, clubs must declare their five (5) inactive players by 4:00 p.m. (EST) Thursday, March 3, 1983. If club is unable to negotiate an inactive contract with its own players or players received via waivers, those players must be placed on the active list or waived.

GAME DAY ROSTERS
Forty-man rosters must be established by 4:00 p.m. (EST) on the day prior to a day game; and by 4:00 p.m. (EST) on the same day prior to a night game. With the exception that clubs will be allowed a maximum of three (3) roster changes between its Inactive and Active Lists up to one (1) hour before game time. Changes must be given one (1) hour before game time to game referee and opponent. League Office must be notified of changes in writing (by TWX) the following day.

GAME PAY
Players waived by 4:00 p.m. (EST) on the Wednesday prior to a League Game, will not be entitled to pay for the succeeding game. Players waived after Wednesday of that week will be entitled to one-half game check.

DEVELOPMENTAL SQUAD
League Office will develop language and form as soon as possible for use by member clubs.

INACTIVE THIRD QUARTERBACK
In the case of an emergency situation, conditioned by the fact that both Quarterbacks from the same team sustain disabling injuries during the course of a game, that club would have the opportunity to activate their third Quarterback. This allows a club to have at their disposal a 41st player, only in the event that both Quarterbacks are injured. The Inactive Quarterback must play the next immediate series. Only the Quarterback position rnay be used in this typo of situation. As soon as the Development Squad Quarterback enters the came, both previously injured Quarterbacks are ineligible to return to play and must leave the field of play. Inactive third Quarterback may only be used if Club has two (2) other Quarterbacks on active game roster. This rule would not apply for a fourth Quarterback.

PLAYOFF ROSTERS
Final club rosters must be established by 4:00 p.m. (EST) on the Wednesday following the playing of the last game.
